One Million Seats For Sale, Part Two — But Hurry

One Million Seats For Sale, Part Two — But Hurry

I magine one million seats sold starting at $9.81 for a one-way flight to dozens of destinations throughout Europe in the No One Trumps Ryanair Fares! promotion — or, in the United Kingdom, the US Election Special promotion, where airfares start at £7.90 for a one-way flight — in the aftermath of the election in the United States yesterday in which Donald Trump was voted to become its next president.

One Million Seats For Sale, Part Two — But Hurry

Thirteen airports throughout the United Kingdom are eligible as the origination of travel for this sale — including London Stansted Airport, where the bulk of the flights on sale originate.
The terms and conditions of this sale are simple: book your flights until midnight Greenwich Mean Time on Thursday, November 10, 2016 for travel what appears to be through Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Seats are subject to availability and are available on selected routes only across the entire network. As with a similar promotion back in June of this year pertaining to the vote from the United Kingdom to leave the European Union, this offer may exclude Leisure Plus and Business Plus fares.

Summary

Well, there is at least one bright spot of the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States — and when I randomly checked in the process of booking some flights, the £9.99 airfare was easy to find and quite available. That could change by the time you read this article, of course.
You can read about my experience as a passenger on flights operated by Ryanair in this trip report from Budapest to Dublin and this trip report from Dublin to Madrid…
…and although the flights were inexpensive, I definitely paid more than $9.81 for them…
